CHEAL, Keith
1937 - 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Keith Cheal in Lennoxville Quebec at the age of 86.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 61 years Joanna (Woodward), His children Veronica (Peter), Gloria, Carleton (Laurie), Lawrence (Julie). His 10 grandchildren Amy (Braden), Jason, and Lisa (Chris); Owen, Joel, Noah and Clara; Natalie, Finley and George. Also his 2 great grandchildren Cullen and Cassidy.
He was preceded in death by his brothers George and Richard, his sister Mary, his sister-in-law Sylvia and brother-in-law Bill.
He is survived by his older brother Arthur, his sisters-in-law Margaret and Sally and many nieces and nephews.
He will be remembered in the community for his smile, his dancing and his outgoing nature.
A family graveside burial will be held at a future date.

Dear Joanna, I am so sorry to hear that Keith has died and that it happened in such a tragic way! I can’t even imagine what you are feeling these days. It seemed the two of you were inseparable. Whenever we saw one, the other was there too. It will be a difficult adjustment for you, I’m sure. I will be praying that the Lord will comfort you and strengthen you as you grieve the loss of your husband, your friend.

Keith was such a nice man, will miss our occasional chats and watching him dance with Johanna. Our deepest condolences to Carlton, Johanna and the entire family. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Pam and I were extremely sad to learn of Keith's passing. We first met in the 1980s when he displayed his meticulous and professional carpentry and construction skills at our house, with the able assistance of Gloria and Carleton (and occasionally Lawrence). Everything he did has stood the test of time. We have also known you both from many encounters around town and at events such as the Bulwer Irish night. We always enjoyed our conversations on many topics, but Keith always asked after our family.
