THWAITES, Isabel

1925 - 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing on September the 18th of our dear, devoted, and loving mother in her 100th year. Isabel was married to her best friend and true love Archie (2007) for 60 years. She leaves to celebrate her life and memories, her son Lorne, her daughter Lynn (Keith), and her granddaughters Julie (Jaime) and Jenny (Doug) and three great-grandchildren. Mom had many families, friends and acquaintances, and she enjoyed each and every one of you. Her life was as full as it could be, thank you for making it so special for her. At Mom’s request, a private graveside service will be held. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. We wish to thank the staff at Manoir St. Francis for all of their kindnesses to her. We encourage donations to be made to the Greenwood Cemetery in Waterville, where she will be laid to rest with Dad and her family. Greenwood Cemetery, c/o Townshippers’ Association, 3355 College St., Sherbrooke, QC, J1M 0BS.

Lorne, Lynn and Family

Isabel was a member of the Old North Church Cemetery Association and I have known her for over 30 years. She had a keen mind and knew many of the families interred there, as well as the history of all the Little farms along the North Road, which led us into many interesting conversations.
She was a lovely lady, always smiling with a positive attitude . She was a pleasure to be with and has left me with many treasured memories.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all….with sincere sympathy.
